Changing the Air Filter

The air filter of a vehicle is a replaceable cleaning unit (consumable). In most cases the replacement of an air filter shouldn't show any complications. The air filter in your vehicle should be changed every 4,800 kilometers, in some cases it is better to make this replacement before driving. Depends on the frequency and conditions of the use of your vehicle.

The easiest way to determine if the air filter needs replacement, is taking out this following the instructions you have below. Tap the air filter lightly, if you see that this spreads powder, it means that this is at its maximum capacity and the replacement is necessary.

Never skimp on the investment of a good air filter. This represents a basic element for the preventive work of the engine.

This is a simple operation. But we must take certain precautions before starting this or any vehicle repair process. Remember to wear protective glasses and industrial gloves, these are available at any hardware store.

The first step is to locate the air filter compartment, hence is where the filter will remove consumable item. To facilitate the placement of the filter, we will check the tube that forms the engine air intake. Proceed to remove the screws from the air filter cover to remove it. Now remove the filter, thoroughly clean the chamber from any kind of waste that may have, and place the new filter.

We must have a basic knowledge of our vehicle for this and any other process of mechanical repair or prevention. Remember, it is always better to go to a skilled mechanic to perform mechanical work.
